Nashville approves $15 million in infrastructure work for Amazon hub
The Nashville council voted yesterday to approve $15.2 million for road, sewer, and other construction and infrastructure work around Nashville Yards. The downtown development is the future site of Nashville’s new Amazon hub.
The infrastructure work will include environmental clean-up in the public right-of-way, traffic signals, and the separation of water and sewer utilities. It also includes street and sidewalk work at Church and Commerce streets, and at 8th, 9th and 10th Avenues.
Amazon said its new Operations Center of Excellence in Nashville will produce 5,000 jobs.
