The Hartford City Council has approved agreements for a 108-unit apartment and retail development at the corner of Park and Main Streets.
Spinnaker Real Estate Partners of Norwalk and Freeman Cos. of Hartford will build the $26-million facility. According to city officials, the development will include up to 90,000 square feet of residential space, 20,000 square feet of commercial space, a rooftop deck, and up to 125 parking spaces.
Design plans must still be approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission. Construction could begin as early as this fall, and is estimated to take about one year.
