Today Spec On The Job is highlighting the achievements of Jason LaMonica, our Chief Operations Officer. We also wanted to give everyone an inside look at what it’s like working for Spec.
What is your name and your job title?
Jason LaMonica, Chief Operations Officer.
How did you get into the staffing/recruiting/personnel services industry?
I was approached by a company a few years back after working in both the marketing and construction industries. It did not work out with them, but I was able to find a home here at Spec on the Job.
What is your typical day like?
There is no such thing as a typical day. There are always new adventures around every corner. That’s what makes this industry and this job so rewarding.
What is the most challenging thing about your job?
There are definitely times when you need to “turn it off” and re-focus. That can be very difficult when there are multiple people relying on you to make sure they have a paycheck next week.
What’s a common question that you’re asked?
The most common question I get asked is, “How does Spec find candidates and qualify them?” I make sure to tell clients about our interview process and the unique ways we qualify our candidates’ skills that may be different from Spec On The Job’s competitors.
What was one of your most rewarding moments at Spec On The Job?
The most rewarding moment for me at Spec is watching the company grow and evolve from where it was when I first started. It has always been a great company, but we are always willing to improve upon ourselves.
