Publix moving forward with demolition of former Tampa, FL Sports Authority

Publix Super Markets Inc., has applied for a demolition permit to tear down a former Sports Authority store. The property is located at 4900 W Kennedy Blvd. in Tampa, FL.
The Sports Authority chain ceased all operations in July 2016.
National Retail Properties Inc. currently owns the 3.67-acre property. Publix plans to build a 35,966 square-foot store on the site.
