Wegman’s already has plans for 5 stores in the Triangle: two in Cary, one in Raleigh, one in Wake Forest, and one in Chapel Hill.
Now, the Rochester, NY-based grocery chain is bringing a sixth store to the area, this one in Holly Springs.
According to plans filed with the town, a 99,000-square-foot Holly Springs will likely be located at S Main Street and off Ralph Stephens Road. The Wegman’s would be part of a larger retail center that will include a Lowe’s Home Improvement.
The Wake Forest store was the first of six Triangle locations to begin construction, and it’s expected to open this fall. The only other store with an estimated opening date is Twin Lakes Center in Cary, NC. That store is projected to open in 2020.
