Amazon.com Inc. is considering opening “dozens” of grocery stores in several cities that are separate from the Whole Foods part of its business.
According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, the e-commerce giant could start opening the stores by late this year.
If the plan goes through, the first store would open in Los Angeles, CA. Other cities are reported to include San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC.
