Construction of tire plant is set to begin in Rocky Mount, NC

China-based Triangle Tire is set to begin construction of a manufacturing plant in Edgecombe County this June.

Phase one of the project will see construction of the section of the plant that will manufacture car tires. Phase two will see the completion of the section dedicated to manufacturing truck tires.

The plant is expected to bring 800 jobs to the community.
