Assembly plants in Detroit, MI to create 6,500 jobs

Fiat Chrysler has announced plans to build a new assembly plant in Detroit. The company also plans to invest $4.5 billion in five of its existing Michigan plants.
The moves is expected to create 6,500 jobs.
Included in Fiat Chrysler’s proposal are plans to invest $1.6 billion to convert two plants that currently make up the Mack Avenue Engine Complex. The converted site will be used to assemble Jeep Grand Cherokees and a Jeep SUV plug-in hybrid.
