Construction continues on Amazon fulfillment center in Garner, NC

A massive Amazon fulfillment center in Garner, NC is now seven months into construction.
The finished facility will be 2.6-million square feet and rise to a height of four stories.
According to Garner’s economic developer Joe Stallings, Conlan Construction has already “almost built the entire shell of the building.”
The fulfillment center has drawn the attention of real estate developers to the area. Garner officials recently approved townhomes near the site, and expect additional projects to follow.
Amazon plans to hire 1,500 for the site, which is scheduled to open this fall.
