Another student housing construction project coming to Hillsborough Street in Raleigh, NC

A Chicago investment firm plans to build a townhome community on Hillsborough Street near N.C. State University. The development will include 12 buildings and 180 units.
The community will be built on 10 acres located along Hillsborough Street, Burton Avenue, and other streets in the Oakdale neighborhood. CA Ventures purchased the properties for a total of $5.6 million.
Construction will begin next month and is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2020.
This isn’t CA Ventures first construction project in the area. In February 2019, the developer purchased another parcel on Hillsborough Street with plans to construct a 132-unit apartment complex.
