Proposal for new mixed-use development in Raleigh, NC moves forward

A Virginia-based developer is requesting a zoning change that would allow construction of a mixed-use development in Raleigh.
The project would be located near the Wegmans that is currently under construction on Wake Forest Road. The requested zoning change would allow for residential development up to 12 stories.
An LLC of Virgina-based Riverbend Development owns the 10-acre property at 819 E Six Forks Road. The developer purchased the parcel from Sears last year for $5 million.
