Hundreds of new apartments coming to downtown Durham, NC

According to economic development agency Downtown Durham Inc., there are currently 1,891 new apartments either planned or under construction in downtown Durham, NC.
The influx of investment and new construction comes after a report last year that rents across the Triangle are growing faster than the rest of the country.
One upcoming project is the Elan Innovation District. Earlier this year, developer Greystar submitted plans to county officials for a six-story building that will include 266 apartments and 6,000 feet of retail space.
