Major Indianapolis, IN food distributor acquires Get Fresh Produce

Distributor IF&P Foods of Indianapolis, one of the largest food distributors in the Midwest, has acquired Get Fresh Produce in a bid to expand operations in the Chicago area.
The deal closed on Monday, but the details were not disclosed.
Get Fresh has about 375 employees, with facilities in Bartlett, IL and Whitestown, IN. IF&P Foods has about 750 employees, most of whom are local to the Indianapolis area.
