Since October 30, BP, Chevron, and Exxon Mobil have all seen jumps in earnings as well as profits that beat quarterly expectations.
“Our strong financial results reflect higher production and crude oil prices,” said Chevron Chairperson and CEO Michael Wirth.
And according to Chevron Chief Financial Officer Patricia Yarrington, the company expects its oil and gas production to grow by about 7% in 2018.

Trading in framing lumber did pick up last week, but not enough to lift prices, which have been in a continuous decline since July.
Structural panel products likewise saw an increase in trading and a more active market. But this increase in trading was only enough to ease falling prices, not raise them.

In anticipation of tougher-than-usual competition for seasonal workers, retailers like Amazon and J.C. Penney started their holiday hiring in June and July – months earlier than in previous years.
