Police arrested a 19-year-old man for transporting drugs in his ice cream truck.
Police stopped the driver after they reportedly observed him passing a home, then turning around to go back, at which time he grabbed a package out of the mailbox.
When police stopped the driver to ask about the package, they found a bag containing suspected marijuana.
As for the stolen package, it contained a “purple 18-20-inch wig that cost $15.15.”

July was a bad month for ice cream truck drivers.
Police arrested another ice cream truck driver for hitting an occupied vehicle. And this on National Ice Cream Day.
The three occupants of the vehicle were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A witness said the ice cream truck driver then drove away from the scene while holding up her broken windshield. Police later arrested the driver for DWI and three counts of felony hit-and-run.

Police arrested 9 truck drivers for public violence following a protest over fuel prices.
In June, 62 truck drivers were arrested for blockading the same freeway as part of ongoing protests against high fuel prices.
South Africa has experienced several sharp fuel increases in recent months.

New York state officials have arrested 24 people in what they’ve called the “largest-ever bust of illegal dumping in the state’s history.”
The operation led to 81 illegal dumping sites involving 11 companies.
“These bad actors have…dumped in open fields, dumped in nature preserves, dumped in soccer fields,” said State Department of Environmental Conservation Commissioner Basil Seggos.
So far, authorities have frozen more than $4.4 million in accounts and seized dozens of vehicles.

A tow truck driver responded to an OUI arrest on Cape Cod. The problem? The tow truck driver was then arrested himself after police say he was found to be drunk behind the wheel.
A Hyannis News journalist happened to witness the tow truck swerve over the solid white center lines and then off the right side of the road, almost striking a pole. The journalist informed police he had recorded it with his dash cam and uploaded the video footage to YouTube.
The tow truck driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor.

A federal jury has found a Georgia doctor guilty of falsifying DOT medical exams.
According to the indictment, the physician conspired with other persons to falsify DOT exams from February 2012 to September 2013.
At least one person not qualified to perform CDL exams did so and made false entries of test results. The doctor then signed off on the exams, thereby acknowledging he had performed them himself.
Sentencing has not yet been scheduled.

New Mexico State Police arrested a truck driver for DWI. The cargo? 150 pigs.
EXPO New Mexico State Fairgrounds, New Mexico Livestock Board, and a local Veterinarian cared for the pigs until a transport truck arrived. No further information about the pigs’ condition was available.
